Our Environmental Protection Strategy

The transport sector contributes significantly to the consumption of finite resources and the emission of harmful greenhouse gases. We are therefore closely monitoring developments in the field of low-emission and alternative drive options in order to keep our fleet at the cutting edge of technology. This includes the use of HVO100, which is used to refuel our vehicles wherever possible. We are also in close dialogue with our customers regarding the implementation of electric trucks in order to further advance sustainable transport solutions. We also focus on resource-conserving processes in all areas of our business activities when it comes to water, electricity and gas consumption. One example is our photovoltaic system in Mehring, which enables us to save an additional 20 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year.

Curt Richter SE is certified according to ISO 14001 and is included in the EcoVadis-rating which has regularly ranked us among the top companies worldwide in terms of sustainability for years. We are also a member of the Responsible Care Programme of the European Chemical Transport Association (ECTA). This means that we are committed to continuously improving our performance in the areas of environmental protection, health and safety and driving forward the sustainable development of our company.
